Our bed and breakfast accommodation at Westview Guesthouse combines modern and contemporary design with traditional hospitality were you are individually welcomed as a valued guest. Westview was built by the current owners and opened as a bed and breakfast in 2011 to offer fine accommodation and good locally sourced food to vistors to Hay-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons and Mid Wales. Your accommodation is fitted all modern conveniences from internet access, tv and a private 3G mobile network, to powerful showers and underfloor heating. Modern decoration is complimented by original artwork.
At Westview we aim to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible with all the little extras to ensure a memorable visit. We have secure bike storage and warm drying cupboard for walking boots and jackets, there is even undercover off-loading area should need it. The lovely countryside and environment is important to us and we endeavour to adopt a thoughtful and considered approach to our bed and breakfast - we continue to look at ways to reduce our impact of the planet without compromising on your comfort and enjoyment of Westview. Whether it is recycling or reducing food miles we try to do our bit!
Breakfast with us
Our local area of Mid Wales and the Brecon Beacons provides us with a huge choice of wonderful ingredients to provide you with delicious breakfast every morning. We aim to keep our food miles low so we source as much as possible from local passionate suppliers so as to prepare you a wonderful and satisifying breakfast. We offer a special freshly prepared dish with a local flavour each day in addition to the traditional full breakfast and compliment that with home made breads, preserves and freshly brewed tea and coffee. Bedrooms
Our bed and breakfast has four guest accommodation rooms on both the ground and first floor. All bedrooms have private bathrooms and benefit from modern powerful thermostatic showers to give a luxury showering experience. Every bedroom benefits from individual temperature controlled underfloor heating and is ventilated with our whole house heat recovery system which ensure the air in every room is always fresh and filtered. lounge areas
A large comforatable guest lounge and sun room await you to relax in. Our sun roof offers wonderful views across the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons to give an ever change vista and Pen-y-Fan, the highest peak, is visible across the Wye Valley. Sheep and Cattle graze the fields opposite. It is a great place to enjoy a drink and some home baking. The guest lounge is large and comfortable with modern sofas for you to relax into. Our grounds extend to about half an acre which is laid to grass lawn. There is an outside seating area and plenty of space to enjoy the local Welsh Air. Our aim is to make you as comforatable as we can and feel at home during you stay at our bed and breakfast. Wireless internet access is available throughout the house and a computer is provided for guest to use. We have drying cupboards for boots and coats. If you bring your bike then we can provided secure storage, clean facilities, and basic spares. A battery charging station is available whilst at Westview and if you arrive in an electric car we will provide you free power to top you up.
